With winter well and truly upon us, here at InsuraWedding, we wanted to bring you some winter wedding venue inspiration. Below are 5 incredible options for you to consider for your winter UK wedding.
We have to say, this is purely based on our opinion but we’re sure you’ll agree that these options are quite special!
1) Dorfold Hall - Cheshire
An award-winning wedding venue, Dorfold Hall can be found in the Cheshire countryside and will surprise you with the amount of character and the sense of grandeur this venue will offer you.
This 17th century stately home can hold up 160 guests for your big day and provides rooms for 22 guests on site! The private estate is licenced to hold civil ceremonies which means you can get married anywhere on the grounds, meaning you can pick the perfect spot for you on your special day.
If it’s a traditional church wedding you are after, there are several churches not far from Dorfold Halls that can hold your wedding ceremony.
A big draw of Dorfold Hall is that it will be exclusively yours for your wedding, what’s more, they don’t offer wedding packages meaning everything is tailored to you!
2) Warbrook House – Hampshire
Breath-taking and steeped in grandeur are two ways to describe this incredible venue. Warbrook House has 7 different function rooms to choose from for your wedding, seating between 40 and 120 guests.
Want more guests on your special day? Don’t worry, Warbrook House also offers a large garden suite that can seat up to 450 guests for dinner.
Each wedding will receive special accommodation rates for their guests as well as having a selection of wedding packages to choose from.
Warbrook House is a beautiful Grade 1 listed mansion set in 121 acres of landscaped gardens which would make the perfect backdrop for photos on your special day!
3) Hedsor House – Buckinghamshire
Hedsor House is a stunning Georgian country house that really could be the wedding venue of your dreams.
Found within 100 acres of historic parkland, Hedsor House boasts the largest bridal suite in Europe! Once you are ready for your ceremony, you can step out of the bridal suite, down the grand staircase and into the domed centre hall.
Again, this venue can be exclusively yours for your big day and can host up to 150 guests for the ceremony and reception, with another 100 able to join for the evening party.
Whilst you can get married on the grounds, there is also a church just 300m from the house if you are after something more traditional. With 13 bedrooms at Hedsor House, there is plenty of room for family and friends to stay and party long into the night!
4) South Farm – Cambridgeshire
With 5 different licenced ceremony options including converted barns, gardens, and a farmhouse, South Farm has plenty of options for couples on their special days.
You’ll find South Farm within 20 acres of countryside, just between the Cambridgeshire and Hampshire borders. The venue itself can hold between 35 and 180 guests depending on where you choose to hold your ceremony, for instance in the Old Dairy (suitable for 100 guest), an intimate affair in the Drawing Room (suitable for 35 guests), or a big celebration in the Tudor Barn (suitable for up to 180 guests).
With multiple solutions on offer to meet your specific needs and desires as the Marrying Couple, as well as plenty of onsite accommodation for your family and friends, South Farm could be a real gem for your big day.
5) Doxford Barns – Northumberland
A beautiful, scenic location, Doxford Barns could be perfect for you and your partner come the big day!
With plenty of outdoor wedding spots such as down by the lake, the front lawn, or near corn fields, as well as the rustic barn setting, there are so many options for you to choose from. You can enjoy exclusive use of this estate for either a long weekend (3 day hire) or just for your wedding day (1 day hire).
There’s enough accommodation on site to host 41 friends and family which is ideal if you are looking to party the night away!
For a venue that is rustic but will allow you to put your own unique spin on things, be sure to check out Doxford Barns.
