With massive price hikes on flights, hotels and holidays in general during the summer months of June - September unless you book WAY in advance, it's no surprise that more and more Brits who are able to, are opting to cash in their holiday time later and later in the year. And by doing so, are making a huge saving. For that very reason, we've shortlisted our top 10 destinations where it's still hot in September through to December, so you can make the most of your precious time away and hopefully save some cash by travelling out of peak season.
(10) Fuerteventura
Fuerteventura has year-round sunshine and arguably the best beaches in the Canary Islands (head down to Jandia for a real treat!). The autumn and winter seasons are still largely dry in Fuerteventura due to the subtropical climate with rainfall averagins 10mm.
The average temperature from September to December is a toasty 24C and it's only a short 4 hour flight away from the UK.
Best time to visit: All year round.
(9) Kos
Kos is part of the Dodecanese islands in the Aegean Sea and is the place to go for beautiful scenery, romantic sunsets and golden sandy beaches. Kos is abundant with historic architecture which competes highly with other parts of Greece, but it's this place that gets our vote for a much more relaxed atmosphere.
The rainfall does increase over the month of October to 55mm however it is still a largely dry month with average temperatures of 26C and it's only a short flight of 4 hours from the UK.
Best time to visit: June - October.

Another beautiful island of the Canaries that makes our list is Tenerife.
It's year-round sunshine and lively culture means it's a beautiful place to visit any time of the year.
Tenerife is a vibrant island famous for its festivals, music and authentic Canarian cuisine. There is something for everyone no matter what your interests; get lost in nature, relax on the beach, have fun at a theme park or even just go shopping.
Tenerife is the largest of Spain's Canary Islands and is home to Mt Teide, a dormant volcano that is Spain's tallest peak - great for exploring!
The average flight from the UK is just 4.5 hours and you can enjoy daily temperatures of up to 25C.

You don't necessarily need a beach to enjoy some sun!

A group of ten volcanic islands make up Cape Verde which lies just off the coast of West Africa.
These islands offer consistently high temperatures throughout the year and is the perfect place if you want to just spend a week or two relaxing poolside or on the beach.
Cape Verde is a lot less commercialised than some other destinations on our list but don't let that deter you, there is plenty to see and do outside your resort - take a trip to an authentic market, visit a small fishing village or even see if you can spot a nesting of loggerhead turtles which the islands are famous for.

The year-round high temperatures see the months of September - December experiencing an average daily temperature of around 29C.
Don't sweat though, literally! The heat is made more comfortable at this time of the year as the humidity drops making a trip to Barbados a more pleasurable experience.
There is plenty to see and do on this beautiful island including the local tradition of having afternoon tea and watching the cricket, which is their national sport.

(4) Cuba
Cuba is a destination that often goes under the radar when booking a holiday which is hugely disappointing as there is so much to offer.
